What is Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)?
Insurance companies cover our services under a category called Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). MNT is an evidence-based medical approach to treating certain chronic conditions, including eating disorders, through the use of an individually-tailored nutrition plan.
Because eating disorders have profound physical health implications, MNT provided by a Registered Dietitian is considered a medical necessity by most major insurance providers.
